I have an ibook g4 when i put in a blank dvd he tries to read then send's the dvd out and i wanted to record that dvd.
how do i know if the dvd drive records dvd's?
Only newer ibooks can have an optional superdrive, which burns DVDs. Which ibook are you using? My wild guess is that you only have a combo drive, which only burns CDs but also reads DVDs.
Click on blue Apple in the left upper corner and select "About this Mac". When the pop up comes up select "More Info". System Profiler will open up and then select your drive, it will tell if it is a superdrive.
