email forwarding: new address

Hi. I have a new domain name, a new website I have built, and am uploading the website to my host, Dreamhost.

The domain is through godaddy.com.

This is a business website, and I want it to have a discrete email specific to the website. This is not a personal website, and I intend to not use my real name for the email.

I can setup the email with godaddy no problem, but I will be forwarding it so I don't have to log in to godaddy to read and respond to email. I already have done this with my personal website, so that's not a problem. My tech support question is about setting up Mac email for this.

For my current email setup through verizon, i use (don't be mad) netscape 7's email client. I've used it for a long time.

I would like to begin using my Mac email, but right now my mac email is setup with my real name, through a .mac account that I never use. Is it possible to setup my Mac email to receive email from my new website (alias@businesswebsite.com), and that when I respond it goes to back to the sender as the same: alias@businesswebsite.com ?

Can i set up my Mac email to receive email from and sends as alias@businesswebsite.com?

I wouldn't mind deleting the .mac account email altogether; it means nothing to me.

I will be setting up my MX settings with dreamhost, to be forwarded from godaddy. So, who should I ask for the settings for my Mac email to receive the email? Godaddy, or Dreamhost?

That's a lot of information, so thanks so much for the help.

Yes. Just log into your .Mac account and under the Accounts section click on 'Mail Preferences'. In there under the 'Other' section is the setup for mail forwarding.

you better be would be to setup two email addresses. Your personal on the .Mac and your business account. Then use your favorite email client to receive messages from both accounts at the same time. Then in your favorite email client set up rules to have the respective email go to the email box you want.
