Entourage and animated gif's

Does anyone know how to get an animated gif into the signature of Entourage? When I try it, it turns them into unanimated jpg's.
 
It actually converts the file to a jpeg, or it just doesn't animate the gif ?

AFAIK there's no way to view animated gifs in Entourage. That doesn't, however, necessarily mean that others won't see the animation.

It actually converts it to .jpg format.......
