Entourage frozen with two Outbox msgs

I keep getting the rainbow swirl whenever I open Entourage. There are two messages sitting in my Outbox. I use a hotmail account to connect thru Entourage on my Macbook.

I have gone to Home/Library/Mail and deleted messages in the Outbox, but am still having the same problem. I've also restarted my computer, but that hasn't worked, either.

O.K. You are using Entourage, not OutLook or Mail. OutLook no longer exists on OS X. The Entourage email settings and data are kept in /YourHardDrive/YourUserName/Documents/Microsoft User Data. By the way you describe you deleted email from Apple's Mail program.

To Reset Entourage's Database just hold down the "option" key while launching Entourage. This may fix your problem.
 
I am having the same problem with Entourage and held down the option key while launching. The results are the same. I have one message stuck in my Outbox that will not go away. What do I do next?
 
Then try to reindex Apple's mail by going to your application Terminal(/YourHardDrive/Applications/Utilities/Terminal) and run this command: sqlite3 ~/Library/Mail/Envelope\ Index vacuum index; (you can copy this command and paste it in Terminal). After the command starts running (first quit Mail) it will ask you for a password. This password is your machine Administrator password. It will take a couple of minutes or longer depending on your email archive size.
 
Got the same thing as another post -- message in outbox with an attachment, keeps hanging and shutting down entourage. Tried all of the above and nothing's working. Can't rebuild database because not enough room on hard drive. Any other suggestions?
 
Yes, remove some of the old files on your hard drive if you don't even have enough space. How much room left on you hard drive (OS x needs about 15% free for normal operations)?
