Entourage + SBC DSL = No email

Here's the deal: I have used Outlook and now Entourage for a Hotmail account with no problems. I usually use my Airport card to connect to my wireless network at home or in coffeeshops, etc. My family just switched from a cable modem to DSL (SBC, if that's important at all), and now I can't get my email from Entourage. I haven't changed any settings, and if I go to another wireless-enabled place, Entourage works as usual. Any thoughts?

thanks in advance for any help...

Check with the ISP to see if they are blocking connections to outside of their network POP and SMTP servers (some ISP do block external email servers to stop spammers). I know for a fact my ISP blocks the port for SMTP (besides their own). By the way you described the problem I am almost certain it is your new ISP blocking certain ports.

It may sound daft, but have you checked that _anything else_ works? I.e. TCP/IP connections (pinging etc.), HTTP requests (looking at a website) to be sure that you _have_ a working internet connection there?

Not daft! Forgot to mention that _everything else_ works. That's what's frustrating me. I can hop around the web with no issues, just can't get Entourage to give me my Hotmail at home. Argh.
