Export Chimera bookmarks/import to OmniWeb?

I switched to OmniWeb, and I want to port my bookmarks, which are numerous. I can do it easily enough for MSIE...

I'm having problems with Chimera with several of the sites I browse regularly (most notably, the inability to correctly set the background colour in a textarea; most of my text inputs are invisible :))

I love Chimera, but I think I'll wait until 1.0 comes out to make it my primary again. :p

bookmarks -> manage bookmarks -> export bookmarks.

choose the format.

i save them every now and then as bookmarks.html and upload them to a site, so i can view them EVERYWHERE i roam... :)

Hehe yeah I tried that first but...(screenshot).

I'm running Chimera 0.6 (Build ID: 2002110415).

uhm, and it does not work??
html would be safe for web use.

i think the standard form it uses is .xml
save it to something like chimerabm.xml
and open it with mozilla or OW, it should be able to import that...

Look closely. The problem isn't that it doesn't work, the problem is that that menu item does not exist.

There is no "Export" item in my Manage Bookmarks menu.

what???

click "export bookmarks" it opens a new window. decide the location of the file, and the name, and the format. works at least for me. :-?

Dude, look at my screenshot...

Bookmarks -> Manage Bookmarks:
- Show Bookmarks in Sidebar
- Create New Folder
- Create new Separator
- Import Bookmarks

I don't see the word "export" anywhere.

I thought I had the latest build :|

What's your build ID? It's in Navigator -> About.
They were clever, they made the buildid field selectable...

Yours: 2002121004
Mine: 2002110415

Yeah that's true about the nightly builds; it just never occurs to me to upgrade unless they augment the minor revision number haha.

Hey, will that wreck my bookmarks (like some previous Chimera upgrades have done)? I seem to remember going from 0.5.(something) to 0.6.0 preserved my bookmarks...

mine is from yesterday (teh version: yyyymmddxxxx)

download the new build .dmg and once you have the folder (dmg) open, just drag the navigator to apps - (when your chimera is not open!!) (or where you have now your navigator). it saves your bookmarks; maybe the "image blocking" thing can be lost; if that occurs, look on the otehr chimera thread, there are the instructions to install that back. :)

tell me if you resolve it now or still find not that bookmark thing...

No prob ;)

If there are new really good improvements in the new night builds, i'll post about when i find something. And try that image banning, even with dsl the sites look nicer when you can eliminate things like ad.doubleclick etc :)
