External IP Taken over by Internal IP Problem

Hi, everyone,
I have a network problem.

My systems are Leopards connected with XPs. I have dynamic IP ADSL. The problem is this: when I am connected with XPs while my Leopard is not connected to the internet, then we know XP and Leopard are internally connected with the 192.168.1.xx IP. They are fixed for each PC and Mac. The connection is fine.

However, if I am connected to the internet, the PPPoE will take over the Ethernet network (somehow, I have to create two ethernet for each of my Mac; this is different from PC) Therefore, the priority of 192.168.1.xx will be put into the second order in the Network setup, making the PPPoE IP the first.

And we know since the IP has been changed, the XP will no longer be able to connect to Mac network with the original internal IP 192.168.1.xx but rather the external IP.

Is there anyway to fix this IP flipping problem?

Thank you guys.

I see the problem of your ISP only dishing ONE IP out to home. To me it sounds as if you need a router with a built in switch/hub.

I say this because to your ISP you have TWO different machines and you only buy ONE IP.
