EyeTV requires Authorization to start

As of a few versions ago every time I open EyeTV it requires authorization to fully open. This is annoying because it prevents the ability to open by itself to record a show. Elgato tech has no idea what this stuff below means. I pasted everything that the console spit out. I've searched for files with these names and they don't exist, (as far as I can tell).

DebugAssert: Third Party Client: result == 0 Could not unlock on a synchronization mutex, should never happen![line 85, file ../Aggregates/POSIXThreadAssistant/APW_PTA_Synchronizable.cpp]

Permissions get repaired every night during backup. The problem seems to be that I can't find these files and the path isn't complete.

Also I performed

sudo find / -name APW_PTA_Synchronizable.cpp -type f

It came up with nothing. These files seem not to exist.

tried a little googling on the debugAssert with various combinations. Seems to relate to bug reporting from carbon. This is likely just reporting code that is missing, likely from somewhere in OS X, and not the app that you're having struggles with. Have you tried downloading and reinstalling the Combined Updater for whatever level of OS X you currently have? Have you tried a different user, or the other OS X troubleshooting techniques (I call it Divide and Conquer) listing elsewhere in this site? If so, you could be ready to try a reinstall with the Archive and install option, but a little drastic for a fairly minor problem (but not to you, of course) Good Luck!
