Firewire 800/400 hard drive recommendation ?

Could anyone recommend a quick, quiet & reliable 250 gb firewire drive that I would be able to install Tiger on and reliably boot a mac from ?
 
I would recommend making your own. Western Digital 250GB "special edition" 8MB cache drives can be had for around $100, and FireWire cases run around $50 - $100. I can recommend Bytec-branded cases -- never had a problem with them and they've got good ventilation as well.
 
This is good to know. I have been interested in taking my 15 GB backup drive on the PC and putting it in an external FW case. I will look into Bytec. Thanks EDCC. :D
