What is that folder next to my trash can? and when i press it all these documents like fly out! how do i download that? why do i have it and my friend with the new mac doesnt what is it callled?

You'll notice an opaque 'divider' between the trash can to the right and several to many applications to the left. Only applications can go to the left, but documents, folders, etc can go to the right.

Somehow, you've dragged a folder to the right. You can leave it or drag it upward and it'll go 'poof'. Don't worry, anything in the dock--left or right--is only an alias, and the originals are still in your HD.

That folder will have a name. If you just mouse across that folder, you'll see the name. It will probably be either Downloads (so it's the default folder for the files that you download from the internet), or Documents ) your own documents folder.
As SGilbert said - if you don't want that folder, you can simply drag it off the Dock. It's just a link to the real folder.

Just for insight into what that folder really is -- it's like a link to a folder on your hard drive. It's not an actual folder itself... just a way to quickly access an existing folder on your hard drive, from the Dock.

For example, if you wanted to be able to list all your Applications with a click of the mouse in the Dock, drag your Applications folder from your hard drive into the right-hand side of the Dock. If you don't want it there, drag it out.

You can change how icons in those folder "links" are displayed when you click on them -- instead of flying out, you can have it present the contents of the folder in a grid view (columns and rows), or in a list view (like the "File," "Edit," or "View" menus in the menubar), etc. You can do this by right-clicking (or command-clicking) on the folder in the Dock and changing the "View content as" setting.

Edit: I see SGilbert and DeltaMac already said some of that. Credit where credit is due.
