Fonts and colours not working in Mail

Hello.

I have set up an email account using Mail on OSX.

I have personalised my signature with colours and different font sizes, but when I send emails to hotmail or any other account the text just appears in regular size, font and colour. The modifications do not work. I have not set up my other email accounts to block these kinds of messages but I can't seem to find a way of solving this in Mail. Any ideas?

Then you have to set your default setting for Mail drafts/sending to send "Rich Text" to have colors. Open Mail and then go to Mail's preferences->Composing and set the the "Composing: Message Format:" to "Rich Text. This will give you all the pretty colors you heart will desire. :)
 
Thank you for your reply. My problem is the font colours in Signatures. You can see the font colour in prefs/signatures/Fonts&Colors but try as I may I cannot select a colour even though is shows that you can do. It seems to be eternally stuck on some sort of green but selecting same has no effect.

Can anyone help please.
