G5 2.5 Ghz Dual System Hard drive failure

Have a G5 2.5 Ghz Dual System that had a system crash. Couldn't reboot. Reloaded System onto External hard drive. Could not detect internal hard drive. Used Apple Hardware Test CD and got Okay on Logic board test and ERROR DETECTED ON Hard drive. ERROR CODE> 2STF2/3: A UPPER.

I assume internal hard drive is shot. Am I correct? Any other cause? Any remedy beyond replacing the internal hard drive?
