I'm sorry, but if that's true, $1499 for a single 1.6GHz, with a $200 charge to make it dual (so $1699) is just too much cash. I mean, I can pick up a 1.6GHz today for about $1299, which I know is special pricing, but I thought, if a 1.6 was kept, it would be around that price.
Think about edu and gov being able to get a PowerMac near $1000. That'll get some sales!
In all reality, I thought we'd see a new entry level at around the $1599, or so, mark. In this pricing, the first new model is at $2399.
