G5 with floppy drive?!?!

Beige!

Who the hell thought that would be a good color for a computer enclosure?

It's like how nearly all accountancy practices I've come across go for the off-white, hint of magnolia for their brochures and literature.

Blah!..

I always figured the reason for the beige would be that it fit into offices nicely since most had white or off-white walls. This way, it fit with the furniture. But nowadays, it seems that the PC (this includes the Mac) has moved from being a business tool to more of an entertainment device, hence the change in colors and designs. Loot at your everyday entertainment appliances. Though they were never beige, they still kind of fell to the back like the rest of the furniture back in the day. Not anymore...look at all the TVs out there now, either in silver or black. Same goes for DVDs and VCRs.

We do have to thank Stevie and Apple for the change in colors and designs. Look at what he did with the NeXT machines, and look at some of the Macs that have come out in the last decade. Great stuff!
