Hi. This has been a bizarre ongoing issue for some time. Help! text appears as garbled in all browsers and html messages -- but only sometimes and to serif type text. After much experimenting, the only short -term quick fix seems to be adjusting the font size either up or down until the text becomes legible. However, when this is done, it will still print garbled -- I am, however, able to cut and paste into a word app and print fine. I do not think this is a "font cache" issue. Have you fiddled with any of the font folders of Mac OS X? Have you added custom versions of the standard fonts included with Mac OS X? What display fonts are specified in Safari's preferences?
