Everyone should run down to their local Circuit City tomorrow and pick up the 120gb Western Digital Hard Drive. They have it for $199.99, with a $70 mail in rebate and a $40 mail in rebate. This is an incredible price for this drive, and the offer expires tomorrow. I picked a couple up tonight, it's so nice in the Xbox:p

Oooh! I had no clue you could replace the hard drive in the XBox! Is it easy? Is it a simple remove-and-replace, or is there some kind of hacking that needs to be done?
 
It's really easy to replace the HD, but there is a little hacking involved. You need to have a modchip installed, and you want to be careful if you plan on using it on Xbox Live because Microsoft has a BIOS version check and if your BIOS version is not the original (it wouldn't be with a modchip enabled) then it will ban you from Xbox live. Most mod chips support HD swapping though, and if you flash your onboard BIOS you never even have to get up to swap games. The new Xecuter 2 BIOS has a feature where you can press L+R+Start+Back to reset the Xbox and then you can select a new came...makes you even lazier:p
