Guest account?

Sunnz

Who wants a stylus?
Is there such thing on a OSX?

I currently have created an account, named "Guest", with no password and limited and such... but I can't find a way to "disable an account". So I was wondering if there is a built-in Guest account that lets you to enable/disable it when needed? Or is there something else I can use for my purpose?

Thanks.

An account is not so much an entry in a database as they are a hierarchy of directories in the Users directory. Use your Accounts preferences pane to delete accounts that you don't want.

Well yea I know how to delete an account, that's suppose to be easy, right?
Pretty easy.
Open your Accounts pref pane, select the account, and click the <minus> at the bottom of the accounts list.

Or, are you really looking for a way to not show that guest account in the login screen, so Guest (or any other user) does not display in the login window, and you must type the user name <Guest> as the account name?
That's a simple Login Setting change, also in the Accounts pane...

There is only 2 accounts on my computer so far, me and Guest.

I only want my account to show up at boot up.

And enable Guest account whenever I wanted to.

Delete and re-create Guest account? No so efficient.

In the Accounts PreferencePane, set to Display Login Window - Name and Password and see if that helps.
