I didnt find any utility to mark this sectors so I can at least avod freezing of the system: it doesn't crash just waits 2 min before giving up... and this isnt nice expecially when burning CDs
How can I solve this problem?

Your iBook has a hadware-test CD bundled. Use this!
Good luck

and welcome to the forum :)

Hmm I thought it wasn't going to worke since it's an old Clamshell model, bundled with OS9 system & utilities... anyway the FS is the same... so I'll try. :)

Thank you for the help... and the welcome! :)

Onizucka welcome. If the problem turns out to be the hard drive then consider going to http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/ and plug in the your Mac model and read all the reports of people who have tried different replacement hard drives to get and idea of a replacement. That's what I did for my old Ti Powerbook and it turned out better than the previous hard drive. It's seems safe to say someone in the world with the same exact Mac model has replaced a hard before you. Good luck.
