i have a leopard installation disk that came together with a intel macbook 13''.

i tried to install it on my ibook g4 12'' 1.33ghz 768mb ram, mac osx 10.4.11.

it works fine, selected my language.. until when the mac osx installer app pop up. then says that my computer is unsupported. how do i by pass the system check and all?

You cannot use the disk that came pre-bundled with another Macintosh computer to install OS X on your iBook for a couple of reasons:

1) It's illegal. One disc = one machine, no more, no less (unless you've purchased the family pack)
2) It just won't work, as you found out -- you can't use a disk included with one Mac with a different Mac.

If you want Leopard on your iBook, the only way to do that is to go out, support Apple, and procure yourself a legitimate, retail copy of Leopard.

And for your information, Snow Leopard (the current OS for sale) does not work on a g4 machine. Came as a surprise to me.

The other poster is correct, it is likely the install disk for one Mac does not have all the information for all other types of Mac. It is not the same as purchasing the OS as a stand alone product (which does have to support all compatible machines).

I have found that sometimes the disks do work for install to machines not labeled on the disk. The issue with this install is that the disk being used is the intel only version of Leopard, so it will not be supported on the iBook.
