Help!! Laptop won't turn on!!

So here is what happened... I turned on my laptp this morning and it booted up fine. I sat down and it had locked up, the mouse wasn't moving, etc. So I held down the power button to shut it off so I could restart it. Now it just won't turn on at all! No noises no nothing. I checked the power cord, everything my "not very techy" self can think of... It is a g4 powerbook.

Does anyone know what could possibly be wrong with it?? Help please!!!
 
Try removing the battery and unplugging the computer, then hold down the power button for a few seconds. Release it, put the battery back in (and I also recommend plugging it in as well), then see if that helps.
 
Thank you so muc for your help... I tried what you suggested but it still won't power up. I did notice that even though it hadn't been on... the computer was still very warm. Do you think it could be a fan or cooling issue? I plan on taking it in to the shop but I was just curious.

You may have a reset button on the back, next to the modem port. Use a pen and push that if it's there.
