Help with kernel panics

Registered
Recently, I've been getting a lot of kernel panics. I had two this morning. Good news is I'm going to buy an i7 iMac in the next month or so. Bad news, I'd like this to quit in the mean time! I've posted the log from my most recent panic below. I'm using 10.6.2.

Can anyone see anything there?

TIA,
Kevin

Interesting. But while I'm using a Kensington mouse, Mouseworks isn't installed. I looked in System Preferences and it wasn't there. Then I looked in my applications folder and nothing. And then I spotlight searched and nothing.
I think I did have it installed at one point, though. Any suggestions now?

While you may have "uninstalled" the Mouseworks application, the low-level system drivers are still apparently installed -- as referenced above.

The Mouseworks application would have nothing to do with system stability. If a standard, run-of-the-mill application is incompatible with Snow Leopard, then the application would most likely exhibit instability -- not the system as a whole. When the system as a whole exhibits instability, then more than likely an incompatible kernel extension (the bold lines in the quote above) exists in the system. Those Mouseworks kernel extensions are still getting loaded at boot time, and thus may be causing the instability with your system.

The Mouseworks driver download from this page includes an uninstaller alongside the installer:

http://us.kensington.com/html/1385.html

I highly recommend downloading it and running the UNinstaller to remove the kernel extensions that weren't removed with your previous uninstall attempt.

It's possible that the uninstaller will complain or throw an error at you claiming it can't uninstall the program because it can't find the application that you removed earlier. In this case, you may want to run the installer program to install Mouseworks (which should install a complete set of kernel extensions and the application), then immediately after installation, run the UNinstaller to remove the application as well as kernel extensions.

Mind you, only do this if the original attempt at uninstalling fails for the reasons listed.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did download Mouseworks and it allowed me to uninstall right away. I've restarted and hopefully left the kernel panics behind me. Appreciate the help.
Kevin

Good deal. If you get another panic, post the log again so we can verify that the Mouseworks drivers are or are not present, and we can continue troubleshooting.
