Kernel Panics in Snow Leopard on Macbook

Today for the first time with my new Mac (Feb 2010) I had a Kernel Panic. The last time I had a problem with Kernel Panics, the problem ended up being a corrupted graphics card, that no technician was able to resolve. In fact my then iBook had been misdiagnosed by a number of people as being a software issue, which could be resolved by a clean install of the OS. The problem would go away for a while, and then come back with vengeance. I sure hope that the Kernel panic I just experienced was nothing major, but if it is, I am happy that I purchased the Apple extended warranty. I cannot remember the log that I need to check to find out the problem. When I had problems with my iBook in January of 2010 I was running Tiger and perhaps the log file location is different.

Thanks,

John

Did you add extra third party RAM? I ask because 95% of Panics happening because of hardware issues.

I ask because 95% of Panics happening because of hardware issues.

I'd say panics are more times than not hardware, but 95% is a stretch..The question I'd ask is are they at start-up or when during use. Also what activities if they happen during use.
