Hi I'm having problems with my imac.
The problem is that I want to install GIMP shop but in order to do this I need to update a component and in order to update said component I have to update my OS. It all sounded so very easy I found the update I needed, downloaded it and hit the install button. Well it won't install it keeps stopping at "Installation Configuration" at about 1/8 of the bar and just won't continue I even gave it 13 hours and it wouldn't move. So before I call the hotline and waste hours and money I thought I would try and ask you guys.
I'm running OS X Leopard and need this update

Would be cool if you could help me out.

thanks in advance.

If you're not running 10.5.5 (i.e., you're running an earlier version, say, 10.5.4, 10.5.3, 10.5.2, 10.5.1 or 10.5), then you'll need to download and install the "combo" update:

http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/macosx_updates/macosx1056comboupdate.html

You may already be running 10.5.6 -- one way to tell is to run "Software Update" -- that will tell you all of the updates your system needs. If an update doesn't appear in the list when you run Software Update, then you don't need the update.
