How can I do a system restore ??

My Mac CDs are gone. can i do the restore without them or can i download and burn them from the net.....

Get a Firewire external hard drive and the use the donationware Carbon Copy Cloner. Cloning is the simple way to make a bootable backup.

But if your current system isn't bootable or viable anymore, then you _do_ need the original CDs/DVDs or a retail copy of the operating system.
