Is there a way for a mac os 10.5 system bound in active directory to automatically login when computer restarts? the User logged-in to a mac system gets its credentials in Active Directory. I was able to do this autologin by configuring the mobile account at login. Aside from this, are there any other option? Thanks

Well do you have the settings put it at System Preferences->Network, the Advanced tab, in the WINS tab for the Active Directory Domain? Did you launch /Applications/Utilities/Directory Utility and then in that application click on the "Show Advanced Menu". There select the menu item (in the program) "Services"/ There in Services put a check make in 'Active Directory' the at the bottom of the window click on the pencil icon to put the Active Directory forest name and credentials.

Plus dod you know there is a web site that has been dedicated to intergrading lone Macs to Windows Domains and that is all they do. The name of that web site is MacWindows.com. On the splash page (on the left hand side of the splash page) are links to readers reports (which have years worth of reader reports that have a wealth of good tips) that are very valuable for a lone mac in a hostile Windows environment. you might find a good tip there that will fix you unique problem.

Note: I just found a PDF guide I was talking about here: http://techsupport.dadeschools.net/Docs/Binding%20Mac%20OS%2010%205%20to%20Dadeschools.pdf
