How do I join active directory with new user account?

Hi!

I want to create a user on my mac that will log into AD while I am at work. I will use a different user when at home. Can I do this? How??? I don't know where to start.

Make a new User by going into (as Administrator) but make the user a standard user. Do this by opening System Preferences->Accounts (as Administrator) and click on the lock (in the bottom left hand corner) and make sure it is unlocked. Then click the plus sign to create a new STANDARD user.

Do you have Leopard or Tiger? Did you read MacWindows?

Here is a one way and another way.

Look into System Preferences->Network, 'Advance button'->WINS. Plus open /Applications/Utilities/Directory Utility and turn on Active Directory. If you read the about links you need to turn off the daemon Bonjour. The AMUG link will walk you through turning it off.
