How do I remove strange websites that are in notifications?

In checking notifications on the mac mini this morning, I came across some strange websites - and a couple I recognize - in notifications. I would like to remove them. I don't want to hide them, or turn off the notifications, or change notifications. I would like to remove them. They do not show up in applications. They are noted with a safari icon so I assume they are associated with a search at some point. (However, I have no idea how modern-furniture-shop.org appeared). I have apps that are hidden and notifications are turned off ... but these were strange; and when I chose turn off notifications they disappeared. The next time one of these weird sites that suddenly allows notifications shows up, how do I make sure it isn't still living somewhere on the computer? And not just hidden. PS They didn't show up on the iphone as been linked either. Thanks.

Give this a try:
With Safari open, go to Settings>Websites
On the left scroll down to Notifications.
The right should show all the web sites in notifications
You can select deny in the pull down menu or click on the website name and then click on remove.

And uncheck the bottom line where it says allow websites to ask permission.

It was empty when I checked and three weird sites - that I have no idea how they appeared with notifications on - were in the notificaitons. When I turned off the notifications, the websites disappeared when I rebooted. And there are no websites showing in the notifications window as before. I'll keep monitoring this week and see if anything shows up. However, I will uncheck the box as it is checked right now. Thanks for the insight.

Related question: How do I find and remove the app associated with notifications. For example, this one. I can't find it in simple searches like checking apps or checking Safari. PS This doesn't show up on the iphone which is synced to the mac mini. I even just connected the iphone and did a sync to double check. Or is it something that works in the background and I just ignore, and should notifications be on?

Kerberos is part of the Mac OS since about 2001.
I have not ever seen a notification referencing kerberos (and kerberos notication is ON on my system - the default), and no harm in leaving it on, I suppose.

Thanks. Mine is off :) I think it has something to do with using one-password systems.

Kerberos is a network authentication protocol. It is designed to provide strong authentication for client/server applications by using secret-key cryptography.

Thanks. Yes, I went ahead and googled and read this too. And I took your advice and turned off the "allow notification requests." I'm going to monitor the notifications a little more closely to see if some aberration again shows up.
