How do I turn off the Ken Burn's effect?

We're making a Photo slideshow VCD for my mom for Mother's Day. We need to use iMovie, because we have a title sequence, etc, and we're applying transitions (fade in, fade out, etc) My question is, how can I turn off the Ken Burns effect? I don't want my pictures flying all over the screen, I just want them still, and to fade in & out. (I'm using iMovie 3) Thanks

Set the beginning and ending zooms and positions to be the same. That's how I do it at least, although I have heard of other methods.

a much easier option would be unchecking the ken burns effect on the upper right of the window.

That's in the new release of iMovie, it just came out this week. The previous version didn't have this feature.
