How to do this ... in Safari

I used to do the following in IE (on Windows)
1. Press WinKey+D to reach AddressBar (current URL gets selected)
2. type google (or any other site name) and press Control+Enter ... IE autocomplete the URL i.e. adds www and .com and loads the site

Is it possible to achieve the same in Safari?

Thanks,

You will see the keyboard shortcut by the pull down menus in any program in OS X. Also there is the Apple document Mac OS X keyboard shortcuts.

Plus just click on the favcon in the address bar to select the address line in Safari.

O'kay I got the key for address bar - Apple-L :D
Any idea about how to add www. and .com to a URL

Thanks for your time!

Regards,
