How To Eject Cd/dvd From Mac Os X

You just drag it's icon to the trash. You can also click the eject key on the keyboard if you have one (my '15 MBP does not; likely because it doesn't have an optical drive anymore). In the file menu, you'll find an eject command which is also Command E.
So many ways to do a simple task. :)

You can use any of these steps:

  1. Restart your computer and hold down the mouse button. If you have two button mouse then hold down the left button of the mouse.
  2. If your computer keyboard has an eject key, restart the computer and this time holding the eject key.
  3. Open a terminal window and type in “drutil tray eject”.
