[HOWTO] see your password without resetting it

Which password?
Your account login/admin password?

That password is shadowed by your system, and there's no way to view the actual password. It's part of the basic security of your OS X system, eh?
You'll notice that whenever you enter your password in the terminal, you don't even see the characters as you type them, no dots or other indication of the password at all.

If you forget your admin/login password, then your next step is to boot to your OS X installer disk, and change/reset that password from the menus.

NOTE - How-tos are for you to provide steps to do something (for how-tos), or answers, and not for questions. Please use the appropriate category next time, eh? Thanks... :D

I don't understand what senseful purpose you would have for 'seeing' your password. Mac OS X doesn't have as lousy security as some dos-based operating systems, so it's not going to be say in cleartext anywhere. To see any password of your system, you'll need to know your password. Since you know your password (obviously) the easiest way to see it on Mac OS X is simply typing your password somewhere in cleartext. In Text Edit or where ever you prefer.
