i forget my password

Boot into the disc that came with your MacBook by inserting it in the drive and holding down "D" when you hear the startup chime. When it gets to the welcome screen for the installation (after you select the language, of course), go to the menu and check the option to reset the password. A window will come up allowing you to select which account you want to change the password for. Once you've done that, cancel the installation and the Macbook will prompt you to restart. Let it restart from the hard drive and try logging in with the new password.

Good luck.

but i don't have the dvd right now i gave it to my sister and now she is in holland and i can't buy it it's to expensive . plz tell me there is an other way plz

There is a way through Single User Mode, but it's not for the faint of heart.

<use Satcomer's link instead>

That said, having a computer without the OS installation discs is like owning a car and giving away the keys. If something were to go wrong with your OS installation, what would you do? Your only choice would be to either get the discs back from your sister, or purchase the retail DVD yourself. Also, be aware that the discs you gave your sister are only licensed to be used on YOUR Mac, not hers. She is running it illegally at this point.

EDIT: Darned it SatCom, you beat me to it. :p

I would not say giving away the keys, but more like the spare tire or spare keys.

You almost never need them, but when needed, you will regret giving them away .....

Good luck, Kees
