iBook/PowerBook night-time mode

Hello world!

I have a colleague with a bronze PowerBook with 10.3.5.

When he presses alt-option-shift-8 the laptop switches to a "night-time" mode. Why is this useful?

Can I replicate this on my G3 iBook (10.3.5)?

Thanks,

Chopper

You are referring to the high-contrast greyscale mode, which is an accessibility feature useful for some people with vision problems.

If you wanna replicate it on your iBook, open System Preferences, then Universal Access. You'll have a few options there that you can play with.

If you want to enable the keyboard shortcut as well, open the Keyboard pane of the System Preferences, then select the "Keyboard Shortcuts" tab and make sure that the "Universal Access" shortcuts have checks next to them.
