iCal Issues with Leopard

I'm new to the forum here and realize this topic may have been tackled before. But I would still like to hear if anyone can give me an answer as to why iCal doesn't seem to be working with my OS x Leopard 10.5.6? I'm going to be needing it asap as I'll be getting rid of my other two G5s pretty soon, and iCal isn't working on my iMac.
 
iCal actually starts up, but I can't seem to create new calendars, add events, etc. Nothing seems to happen.
 
Go to the folder /YourHardDrive/Users/YouUserName/Library/Preferences/ and delete the file com.apple.iCal.plist and see if that works, Good Luck.
 
Many thanks for your suggestion but nothing happened. Nada. Zilch.

Is there a way I might be able to reinstall just this program alone?
