iCal not working after Jaguar-to-Leopard upgrade

I just upgraded my wife's 15" Aluminum PowerBook from Jaguar to Leopard. Since the upgrade, she has been unable to open iCal; it gives an error saying "this version of iCal not compatible". Huh?

I've done some Googling on the subject but have not found anything that helps yet. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Doing an upgrade install from 10.2 to 10.5 isn't recommended..
Which version does iCal show? 3.0.x should be for 10.5.
After the upgraded, did you apply all dot upgrades, to get the system to 10.5.6?

Apologies for the delay in replying... I almost never get on her computer, so couldn't check the versions until tonight!

iCal is in fact 3.0.1 now. However, updates have not been completed, and we're showing 10.5.1 (!!). She's running very, very low on HDD space, 3 GB - insufficient for the updates we need - so I'm thinking I need to get her Mac in for a monster HDD upgrade before we can proceed.

Is Jaguar not 10.3? She upgraded from whatever was before Tiger to Leopard. Did I miss a cat? ;)

Thanks for the advice.

Even 10.3 to 10.5 isn't a good idea. I'd do a clean install instead - too different systems (for the system).

OK, one Western Digital 320 GB HD upgrade and 737 MB OS 10.5.7 update later, iCal is still not agreeing to do anything.

Hold on... I just did a Finder search for iCal and found TWO versions lurking in Applications. (?!??) One was 1.5.2, and the other 3.0.7. The one in my dock was the old one... lo and behold, 3.0.7 works just FINE.

ARGH!!! <beats head against desk>

Thanks for the help, everyone. Now I just need to save me from myself.
