Identify my G5!

hey yo...

i was doing a cleaning of my dual g5 1.8 the other night and came across something i was unfamiliar with and i wanted to see if anyone had any clue as to what it might be!! This piece subsequently started to sqeak too a few days later... i thought it might be a fan but not sure. i also have the exploded view of a g5 and its the only part not listed.

the piece im talking about is located on the upper shelf between the HDs and the DVD drive. its against the back right behind the fan. take a look!

This is a data spy. It collects all your data, compresses these and sends to "important" people. Big brother is watching you !

Sorry to take the great mystery out, but that little unit on the back wall is just another cooling fan. Apple refers to this as a 'media blower'. The one closer to you is the media fan. Both fans are not really identified because they are not separately replaceable.

Always new things to learn...
