imac computer

I was given an imac computer that is running mac os 9.2 it came without startup disks is there anyway possible to do a restore to the factory settings. I know you can do a restore on a windows computer without a disk can I do the same on the imac.

Also I'm having a hard time connecting to the internet on the imac any help there would be greatly appreciated I want to use our other computers cable modem which uses an ethernet connection I need to know where the settings would be on the imac.
