Import Mailboxes and settings

I made a fresh install on my new Macbook Pro with OS X 10.5.2 What is the most simple and safe way to import al my mails / mailboxes and mailsettings from my old machine with OS X 10.4.11?

Migration Assistant is installed on your computer, is it not?

Yes I have Migration Assistant. And I was looking at it. But will this not import ALL my personal settings, or can I chose just the Mail?

You email file in Apple's Mail application is kept in the folder /YourHardDrive/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/ . Plus if you do an Archive & Install it will be almost the same as a complete wipe but hold some Network and applications.

Can't I just copy the Mail folder in my Library direct to the new machine?
