Instaling Mac OS X Leopard ??

Hi guys I am new to Mac and the OS so hopefully someone can give me a hand, I bought the mac OS X Leopard and built a desktop high end with Dual Core processor and Asus board ect but cannot get the system to boo from the OS DVD ? Is there something I am doing wrong do I need to create a boot floopy or something ?

Mac OS X Leopard is only meant to be legally run on Apple Macintosh systems. You can find some decent priced Power Macintosh G4 systems that can run Leopard on the Internet without much fuss.
