Installing Snow Leopard from a USB stick

Hi, just wondering if there are any programs for windows that will let me format my USB stick into the Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format.

I use this on my Boot Camp (Windows 7) drive and works great for me.

probably should have asked this before, but does windows read read/write hfs?

Not natively.

Windows requires 3rd-party software in order to read, write, and format HFS or HFS+.
