Wich Instant Messenger do you use????
I would also like to give you my ICQ number and AIM, MSN Screen names for you to add me to your lists and become buddies!! I think it would be a good idea that you do the same :)

my main communications tool is Yahoo, second comes ICQ and 3rd MSN messenger. I hardly ever use AIM :p
 
I have been using ICQ for about 4 years or so. Most of my friends have yahoo, a one has AIM. I hated having all three installed and open. I love Fire! Best thing since peanut butter IMO.
 
I used Fire for a LONG time, but ever since Proteus 1.5 I haven't looked back. I just prefer Proteus's toolbar and interface, the only feature I would like to see in Proteus is having the buddy list snap to screen edge. It's all opinion basically.. as for IM services I used AIM and ICQ. :D

I currently use Fire, but am downloading Proteus to try it out.

I use ICQ (190741) but have an MSN account which I rarely enable.
 
OMG. Proteus rocks.

I thought Fire was good, but I really like the way Proteus looks and acts. It seems a lot more "aqua-ish". And I love the menu bar indicator.

Now I just need someone to IM me so I can see how it handles that... Any takers?

Heh, of course I am going to bed soon, since I do have to work tomorrow and it's almost midnight here... :p

...hmm... I'm not so sure! Its Buggy! And, (don't quote me on this!) i think File Transfer is either NON Existent, or Crap! Anyhow, When i had my iBook, i preferred Fire.app over Trillian, maybe its time to give Trillian another go, but last time i just didn't like it!

MSN Messenger. But i need ONE more thing : FILETRANSFER!!!! (it's only an option with a PC)

I love FIRE, but I've got to put all my "buddies" of MSN manually into Fire. It just takes too long (or is there an other way?)

It's all opinion, I personally have friends that use more than AIM so I can't use Adium. Even still I find Proteus to work better for me without the extra users, people forget when starting these despute threads that most of it is based on opinion and not fact. Some people only need AIM so they can use Adium and it's a great app, I used to use it. But ever since some friends of mine using ICQ appeared I had to switch to a multi-client app and found Proteus to be amazingly good for my needs.. :D
 
I hate instant messaging, but it's the way things have gone...

My favorite form of communication was e-mail... it was so great. You'd get tons of messages because that was how to got information to people you couldn't call on the phone. I like getting mail.

All the people I care about talking to use AIM, so that's all I have. I had an ICQ account back in the day but then I forgot my password to my favorite UIN 1466664 and haven't felt like getting a new one that I can't remember. I just use the official client since it does file transfer well and doesn't crash, not really an issue since I don't have it open very much.
