Intel iMac lost internet connection

I have two identical iMacs hooked up to a router. Both had no internet connection problems until now. One iMac works fine, the other just stopped. I swapped LAN cables and router ports but the iMac that quit connecting still won't connect.
 
I might also add that in Network, Ethernet says Not Connected and Status says: Cable unplugged

But as I said, I swpped cables and router ports with a good one that I know works on another iMac.
 
Sounds like a bad ethernet port.

Any power surges or black/brownouts recently?

What kind of Macs are they? It may help to reset the PMU (which can help with dead ethernet ports). I believe the procedure is to shut down the computer, unplug the power cable from the computer, wait 30 seconds, reconnect, and power up. If that doesn't help, I'll dig deeper and see if any other procedures would help.
