Hey guys, struck a pretty tricky one here at work today, just wondering anybody's thoughts.
imac 20" intel core duo, brand new out of teh box. Shuts down at random times during the initial setup screen. Will not turn back on for lengthy periods of time, then all of a sudden turns on and acts fine.
Am thinking logic board at this stage, as one would think if it is the power supply then it wouldn't run at all - but then you think possibly the power supply could be spiking or malfunctioning causing a variance in the current causing teh machine to crash.
Suppose i could order both parts under warranty, but then run the risk of paying for them if they return as good. Hmmmm just a tricky one i guess.
About to go reseat all cables and see how we fly.
Anybody experienced this particular problem before? I haven't seen it before today?
