Internet Explorer Crashes

I have an iMac OS X.2.6, with several users. I use my desktop in English, and my wife in Japanese. When I use Internet Explorer, for the most part (there are sometimes some freezes when downloading pages), there are no problems, but when my wife clicks on Internet Explorer in the dock on her desktop, she immediately gets the error: i the application explorer has unexpectedly quit. Each time she gets this error. I checked the CrashReporter log which just verifies this by stating, "Library/Logs/CrashReporter/Internet Explorer.crash.log" Does anyone have any ideas how I can solve this problem.

Thanks for your kind assistance in advance.

You could try to log in as her, and go to ~ (her home) / Library / Preferences and in that folder trash the internet explorer preferences file (com.microsoft.explorer.plist or similar) and see if it works then. (or move that file to desktop so you'll have it in case it does nothing.)

That is the easiest thing to try that could fix it.

Quit all of your apps (assuming your wife's account is logged in) then move these 2 files to the desktop:
com.apple.internetconfig.plist
com.apple.quicktime.plugin.preferences.plist

You'll findboth of these in your wife's User/Library/Preferences folder
I would then log out, and log back in (to your wife's account) and try internet explorer, If it now works, you're done.

If not, have you used Safari? :)

I'm assuming that IE and Japanese don't mix. :\ Maybe it's not localized for Japan, the Finder is requesting the localization, IE is getting confused and crashing.

Dunno, just a theory, good luck getting it working.
