iPod Photo album art wrong.

The album art on my 60 gb iPod Photo is sometimes wrong. The art is correct in iTunes but incorrect on the iPod. The first track of an album is usually the only one incorrect and when double clicked the album art shown is even different than the first incorrect cover. I deleted all my songs and re-installed them with no change. I have about 13000 songs using 50 gb. Any suggestions?
 
Are you sure that the album art is incorrect, or is there the chance that in iTunes you actually have more than one album art for that song?

iTunes supports multiple pieces of art per song, while the iPod will only get the very first album art for the song.

If not, then let's troubleshoot more!
 
Did you download these songs off iTunes, because, as I understand it, iTunes dosent automaticly get album art for songs taken off CD's. I have to use a third-party-solution to get album art, it's called Fetch Art. You might want to try something like that, it will find the correct album art then and upload it to iTunes.

Yes, some of the album art is incorrect. I only add art to entire albums. No single songs. I find the art (usually at allmusic.com & sometimes with AlbumArt widget or Album Cover Finder). This problem only started after I reached 13,000 songs & over 50 gb.(that may have nothing to do with it).

No, I haven't ever downloaded a song off of iTunes. Most of my music is from original cd's and some digital music files. I use Allmusic.com, AlbumArt widget & Album Cover Finder.
 
Hmmm... the only thing I can think of is that you've somehow passed some kind of limit on the iPod, being how full it is. HFS+ format has trouble when it's free space drops below about 15% to 20% of the total hard drive size, and at over 50GB out of 60GB, that's beyond 80% capacity.

Other than that, I'm at a loss. Just the other day, though, I noticed that a new album I added to my iPod wouldn't show up under "Artist" ("David Bowie") -- only when I navigated to the actual album name itself ("The Platinum Collection") or the playlist I created.. I wiped my iPod clean, re-sync'ed (30GB+, ~1.5 hours), and he magically showed up. Go figure.
