Please be more specific. Right now, for all we know, you took a screwdriver and pierced the iPod straight through, and that's why it won't work!
My point is that there could be any number of reasons why it won't play music now, but you'll need to describe your situation in much greater detail in order for us to try and troubleshoot it.
What happens when you DO try and play music? Does music copy to the iPod ok, but just not play? Do any error messages pop up? What does the iPod do instead of playing music? Does it appear to play music, but no sound is coming out?
