iPod Sock ?

Yeah, it's pretty sweet. I want them to make real socks too. So I can accessorize my iPod sock with my real socks.

Steve was joking, of course. He also said that competitors were making more money on cases for gadgets than Apple was making on iPods. So, the iPod Socks were born...
 
Hehe... perfect -- a damn sock. While they're cool, that's all I think they are. Kind of perpetuates the "smelly old granola hippie" stereotype that Mac users have gotten.

I'll bet that smelly old granola hippie dude in my computer science class has one for his iPod next time I see him... ;)
 
I like how Steve first showed the Socks when talking about iPod and then said: "So, that's it about iPod." (as if there was nothing more to announce...) ;)
 
The socks are now available for pre-order at the Apple store.

Go to iPod Accessories/Cases and scroll down about half way.
 
... I thought this was a complete gag thread until I actually went to the Apple Store online, and sure enough, there they are.

Now I'm just confused.

EDIT: Finally, a case compatible with my old 5GB iPod!
 
Those have to be just about the weirdest product that I've seen come from Apple... I wonder if they'll actually sell.
 
Actually I think they're kind of cool...I mean you do get 6 of 'em...and brianleahy I think you're idea is kick ass! That'd be pretty neato if they did that..

I know they're just colorful socks that protect the iPod, but I deff. think im gonna get em with my next iPod (which is very soon)..
