iPod Touch Making 3-tone Sound

Hello all:

When plugged in and charging through a direct power cable, I noticed that my iPod Touch (8GB) started playing this bizarre three tone alarm when playing music. It just sounds like the booo-booo-beee of a phone call just before it says "The connection can not be completed as dialed - please try again". Only seems to happen when plugged in and charging. Anyone know what this means?
 
Doubtful - not linked up to a WiFi when it happens, nor do I have any mail clients configured. I do all my web mail surfing directly through Safari in all cases. It only seems to be occurring on one particular song, nothing before or after. I'm thinking now that it may be a data corruption warning.
 
Btw.: Telephone sounds differ from country to country, from provider to provider. ;) With "direct power cable" you mean an USB charger? If it's one specific song, I'd try to replace that file on iTunes, and I'd also take it out of the iPod and resynch it to the iPod afterwards.
