Is there a reason you can't wake computers using Remote Desktop over Airport?

Hi fellow geeks,

I've said it all in the subject really, but surely if you can sleep the client computer you should be able to wake it? Are there any workarounds that anyone knows?

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum area . . .

Cheers,

Bob

Because the AirPort slot goes to sleep along with the computer -- on the other hand, ethernet ports in computers that support "wake-on-LAN" stay slightly awake even when the computer is asleep... not the case for the AirPort slot.
