If you're talking about using Apple's Mail.app program, then your recipient should receive those pictures/photos as attachments.
They just appear to be embedded in the body of the message in Mail.app.
If the recipient is receiving these emails with Outlook (or some other email clients) and the pictures are still embedded, then you can switch to composing those emails in "Plain Text" format rather than "Rich Text" or "HTML" format. That should take care of the problem.
